What is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient healing art that treats the body, mind and soul. It involves the practice of channeling life force energy through the physical and emotional body to help promote balance and an overall sense of wellbeing. Reiki heals by allowing energy to flow through the chakras and the energy field surrounding the body, which can be affected by negative thought patterns, trauma, emotional ailments and more.
Healing on a deeper level becomes possible with reiki because reiki raises the vibration of the person being treated. When we heal our chakras, energy can flow more naturally, which helps us come back into a place of balance. If you have a hard time staying energetically balanced, feel emotionally or physically drained, it is an ideal time to try reiki.
Reiki treatments are very relaxing and gentle. Some people experience a gentle tingling, some experience stronger waves of energy or heat in certain areas and others experience deep relaxation and at times may be tempted to fall asleep. Depending on what needs to be healed or balanced, an emotional release may be experienced as well. *It is important to note that reiki works in conjunction with and is not a replacement for regular or psychological treatment.
